Your first order from China: a step-by-step checklist

1. Sign up and note your warehouse code

After sign-up you get a personal warehouse code. It is how we recognise your goods when they arrive.

2. Top up your balance

Orders, shipping and extra services are paid from the balance. Every amount is shown before you pay.

3. Find the product

• paste a 1688 or Taobao product link into search;
• or pick from the catalogue;
• can’t find it — send a product request and a buyer will look for options.

4. Place the order

Choose colour, size and quantity. If the seller changes the price, we tell you and ask for the difference or refund it.

5. Wait for it at the warehouse

The warehouse checks the item and takes photos. Need more detail? Order extra photos in “My warehouse”.

6. Build a parcel

Tick the items to send together, choose an address and a shipping line. The warehouse weighs the parcel and calculates shipping.

7. Pay for shipping and receive it

After payment the parcel leaves for Kazakhstan. Status updates are in “Messages” and on the parcel page.

Common mistakes

• shipping each item as soon as it arrives — waiting and sending several together is cheaper;
• not checking the size — look at the size chart or ask for a photo of the tag;
• forgetting about batteries and liquids — not every shipping line accepts them.
