How to pay less for shipping
Shipping is often a noticeable part of the purchase. Here is what really moves the price.
1. Combine items
Shipping has a price for the first kilogram and for each further step. One 3 kg parcel is almost always cheaper than three 1 kg parcels.
2. Use the free storage period
Items can wait at the warehouse for free while the rest of your shopping arrives. The period is on the Pricing page.
3. Watch the volumetric weight
Light but bulky things (pillows, toys, shoes in boxes) are charged by volume. More in Volumetric weight.
4. Drop extra packaging
Seller boxes are often much bigger than the item. If it isn’t fragile, choose packaging removal when you build the parcel.
5. Compare shipping lines
Fast lines cost more. If you are not in a hurry, choose a slower one — compare in the calculator.
